The Electromagnetic Feeder is used for more exact control of feed-rate, usually on fine materials. The Osborn Linear Feeder is for general use when controlled withdrawal from storage units is required.

• Feeding crushers
• Emptying bins and scalping material
• Scalping reduces load on crushers
• Breaks up lumpy material
• Heavy duty handling of large lump sizes
• High capacity

Osborn Obex Feeders are designed and built to meet arduous mining and quarrying operating conditions. The extensive range of vibrating feeders have been tested and proven in ongoing programs of intensive field research, through years of use in mines and industry.

Two vibrating motors rotate in opposite directions, synchronise and impart a vibrating force in a longitudinal direction at 35 degrees. This lifts the material and carries it forward on each rotation, providing a constant feed rate. The amplitude can be varied by adjusting the out-of-balance weights on the vibrating motors to the required stroke.

The frequency depends on the use of 4-pole and 6-pole motors, as dictated by the applications.

For controlled withdrawing and separating of primary feed from a hopper, typically feeding a jaw crusher.

Osborn Telsmith Vibrating Grizzly Feeders combine scalping and feeding in one operation. Tapered grizzly bards capped with manganese steel provide maximum life. Feeds primaries in greater tonnages at lower cost per ton, absorbs tremendous impacts of massive feed material. The vibrating unit assures a continuous smooth feed. Available in a wide range of bar deck lengths to suit any application.

Osborn offers a complete range of standard and extra heavy duty apron feeders suited for the most arduous conditions encountered in the mining and quarrying industries.

Our Apron Feeders are designed and built in a wide range of sizes from 900 mm to 3500 mm wide to handle heavy, lumpy and abrasive materials and provide a reliable means of controlling the feed rate to prevent surge loads to primary crushers, belt conveyors and other plant and equipment. Apron Feeders are usually installed under a hopper or bin and can accept direct dumping by trucks or bulldozers, shovels or a dragline.

Feeders can be supplied in lengths to suit your requirements.

We offer installation, commissioning, spares, reconditioning and after-sales service, plus the capability to supply the right unit for any type of inquiry.

In addition, these units complement Osborn's wide range of mills, screens, jaw crushers, gyrasphere cone crushers, feeders, scrubbers and idlers. A turnkey plant capability is also available.
